The first benefit of having a car shelter of any sort is that it will keep your car warm and this is something that many people don't consider. If you have ever tried to start your car first thing in the morning on a cold day then you will know just how difficult it can be and you might have an inkling to the fact that this isn't overly good for the vehicle.
The reason that you should use car shelters to keep your car warm is that cold can drain your battery and this will result in your having a dead battery often when you wake up and it will be quicker before you next have to replace it. Already we're seeing that having a car shelter is an investment and will save you money in terms of the work you will get done on your car – of course it's preferable to buy a car shelter that's easy to install rather than have to replace the car battery which can be very expensive.
The other thing to consider is that a cold engine is just slower to start as is a cold battery. This means that on a cold day it will be difficult to get it going.
